We are living in times of quick change and innovation; communication is changing with services such as Twitter, WhatsApp and Ping, knowledge is at our fingertips with blogs and wikis used worldwide, and Cloud computing is giving us access to computer resources using a mouse click and a credit-card. This pace of innovation can also be seen in data center design. I believe we have seen more innovation in data center infrastructure in the past five years than we did the previous 15. A lot of this innovation is driven by the mega-service operators; delivering these cloud and social media services.
