Here at EvoSwitch we are very proud to officially be a 100% carbon-neutral datacenter. We know that its really important to our customers that we do everything we can to minimize our energy-usage and keep our carbon footprint as low as possible, as highlighted by our Green Fan Program.
These datacenter values are central to the Green Data Center Conference, which takes place this week from 25th 27th October. Held in London, the conference addresses issues and trends affecting green datacenters across Europe. It provides attendees the chance to connect with leading datacenter and IT executives across the three-day program of workshops, presentations and networking receptions. Offering a unique opportunity for the datacenter industry, the conference will bring together industry spokespeople and corporate delegates to address the latest environmental trends and considerations affecting datacenters today, such as power usage, cooling, and modular building.
Were really excited that we will be amongst many of our datacenter peers who will be present at the conference, where were looking forward to hearing from speakers such as Dominic Monkhouse at Peer1 Hosting, and Ken Baker at Hewlett-Packard.
Our technical director, Jan Wiersma, is also going to be speaking at the event on the subject of Managing a Green Data Center The Challenge. With 10 years experience in IT, Jan will provide firsthand knowledge on the challenges faced when running an energy efficient datacenter, and how best to address them. Aside from this slot, Jan will also be speaking as part of the Data Center Pulse Executive Board on day 2 of the conference, which he has been asked to participate in as International Executive and Head of EMEA of the board. Speaking alongside three others, including Paul Sun from the Industrial Technology Research Institute, Mark Thiele from Switch and Tim Crawford from All Covered, Jan will help close the conference in an hour-long panel session.
We think and are sure youll agree that the best way for us to be able to offer our customers a relevant and informed perspective on your green datacenter options is to engage with our peers. By sharing ideas with other leaders in the industry we are able to really consolidate our understanding of the latest theories and technologies which are influencing green IT. Were looking forward to attending a number of other sessions as well as Jans, of course! to see what else can be learnt from the other experienced and highly knowledgeable speakers.
