A carrier neutral datacenter provides freedom of choice

EvoSwitch is recognized as one of the most energy-efficient datacenters in Europe. In addition to being climate neutral, the datacenter is also carrier neutral. Ourcustomers already have a choice of more than 35 international carriers, with thisnumber set to increase to over 50 on-site carriers by the end of the year. Thisensures we provide the best available options in connectivity to our customers, who in turn then prioritize their telecom providers and build a global infrastructurethat really fulfills their requirements best.

Choice in connectivity is absolutely critical to companies looking for a trulyredundant infrastructure. Our datacenter is conveniently located in the Amsterdamregion next to one of the largest internet hubs in the world, AMS-IX, and is thusclosely connected to a large number of trans-Atlantic fibers. And thanks to therising number of supplying carriers, connectivity within the datacenter is alsosignificantly increasing. Carrier neutrality means independency and transparencyfor customers, ensuring they have real freedom of choice in working with a provideror even a combination of providers. This way customers can get the best globalinfrastructure and connectivity, rather than just being able to choose from a selectfew.

Another great advantage to carrier neutrality is that customers can simply stickwith their network providers, when choosing or moving to EvoSwitch. A broader rangeof carriers connected into your infrastructure also allows for optimal redundancy inthe unexpected case of a provider going down, as well as the opportunity to quicklyadapt to changing customer demands. This is extremely beneficial to customers asthey can quite easily add a node to their existing network, cutting out extensivecontract negotiations with other telecom providers.

Partnerships
Here at EvoSwitch, we actively partner with our onsite carriers. Our dedicatedaccount team works closely with the carriers to make the most appropriate matches. Our operations team will connect all racks to the appropriate carriers. Carriers havetheir own place in the Meet-Me rooms in the EvoSwitch datacenter. They do not have topay any entrance fees or setup costs. In fact, the carrier, only pays for the powerused. And even those costs are not high when compared to other datacenters. Over theyears, EvoSwitch has been able to drive down its PUE to a very low 1.2, enabling usto provide our onsite carriers with a low cost solution when compared to datacentersin the London area for example.

Our dedicated Carrier Relationship Manager, Steve Rhamdarie, is the direct point ofcontact for carriers. He actively helps them expand their business at EvoSwitch.By knowing and understanding the entire carrier portfolio and the strengths of eachindividual carrier, Steve is also able to provide network consultancy to theend-customers, offering them the best solution for their connectivity needs.
We are proud to provide highly reliable, global connectivity not only throughcooperating with the major Internet exchanges, but also by working closely withour wide selection of partner telecom providers. If you have any questions pleasefeel free to contact us via our website !
